What is Inner Bearing Qi Gong?

Your Body's Inner Compass

Inner Bearing Qi Gong is a method to cultivate your own reliable, internal awareness—a felt sense of alignment and flow. We explore practices like the Microcosmic Orbit and Eight Brocades not as dogma, but as tools for personal experimentation. The goal is vitality; the method is empowerment through your own sensation.

Meet Jack Schwem, L. Ac.

My path began not with mastery, but with play. The joy of movement in dance and martial arts led me—with the guidance of many teachers—to a powerful childhood insight: our bodies hold far more potential for refinement and understanding than we're typically taught.

Years later, as a disillusioned pre-med student, I found my own healing through modalities like qi gong that the conventional system overlooked. This led me to become an acupuncturist, where I now witness daily how reconnecting with the body's innate wisdom can restore health.

The Philosophy

From Tourist to Native in Your Own Body

In the clinic, that childhood insight returned: people often feel like tourists in their own bodies, disconnected from subtle signals. They have maps (diagnoses, advice) but no compass.

I hold a Master's in Acupuncture and have trained in integrative care. This approach extends that collaborative philosophy—an invitation to explore what it means to feel at home in your skin, grounded in your structure, and clear in your direction.
